Polarity II was a game I made in cooperation with several classmates for Game Design I at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2018. In this class, we were tasked with making board games based on a certain random theme. I assisted in creating the initial concept as well as typing up the rule sheet, gameplay balancing, and design which can be found here.
Polarity II is named such as there was already a board game named Polarity and we still wanted to use the name (so technically this game is called and stylized as Pollari+y, but is called Polarity II for easier recognition.
Polarity II is a chess-like board game where you have positive, negative, and neutral pieces. The pieces work as you might imagine, the positives attract, the negatives repel and the neutrals don’t influence any other pieces.
