You may have heard of B-Daman along with those other kids’ anime that you don’t care about or don’t really matter (Beyblade, Bakugan, etc.).
B-Daman, However, was first modeled after Bomberman! (As you can see in the pictures below)
There were several video games inspired by these Bomberman B-Daman that came out in Japan in the early 90’s.
B-Daman eventually tried to become it’s own franchise and dropped the Bomberman concept. Later, video games about this original B-Daman were made and the franchise came full circle.

(The picture below is an old Ninja Turtle that has seen better days. It was made with the same concept in mind and made by the same company, Takara, just using the Ninja Turtles franchise instead.)
